My m-305 is blowing the primers back a little bit upon firing. The guy at the range told me that this was due to excessive headspace. I asked him what can be done and he suggested that the barrel could be screwed in a little more.

First off is this something to worry about. I am shooting protugese surplus rounds now, but I might start to reload for it. And if this is a serious problem can someone give me detailed instruction on how to fix it.

Jason:

PM me regarding an opportunity to measure 5 fired cases for your chamber dimension(s) ! A cheap padded envelope (29 cents) and 2 local stamps will get them to me. I'll measure them with my RCBS Precision Mic and then email or PM your chamber size(s) back to you.

This offer is open to all you CGN M305 lovers.... actually, any of you that own any .308 Win chambered bangsticks. 8)

Let's not get too prescriptive on what should and shouldn't be done until we get all the facts sorted out, OK ? :?

There are all sorts of variables involved in this "blown primer" situation. I'm sure if you ask 10 M14 owners, your are gonna get 10 different suggestions. :|

Cheers,
Barney
