Ok, don't shoot the messenger. I am not about to advocate eating Tofu or some other crap.
I am as I imagine fairly typical of many of the hunters who read this forum. In my forties and a lardass who serves a lot of his food in the time honoured method of "a pile of meat, some spuds and go light on that green crap." Now I do actually eat a lot of veggies and salad stuff as well. I also fly a desk at work and I am pretty unfit and hunting is a fair part of my exercise. (walking to the truck, walking to the outhouse...
)
So one of the reasons I hunt is to eat food that I know were not injected with crap at a factory farm.....then I go and fry it in butter. Ouch. Not everything mind you, mainly partridge as it tastes so awesome like that.
So my point is this. Why don't we collect together a selection of healthy recipes in one place that use all of that un-buggered meat and might just keep me ticking over until I am old enough to bore my grandkids senseless with hunting stories?
I barbecue a lot of my meat and roast a lot more, but then I tend to stick to the traditional piles of carbs and saturated fats to dress it all up nicely. Actually about the only thing I fry up in butter is partridge. Buuuuut, getting back to the point I then serve it up with crap.
Any suggestions/comments?
