Just a photo of a set of battery pliers that I modified recently, Just silver soldered some thick brass jaws on to the original plier jaws. The value is that if you want to keep a portion of a frizzen for example, cool so as not to draw the temper in the pivot area, the thick brass jaws act as a heat sink and reduce the risk of softening the little bump that rubs on the frizzen spring
