I shoot the 80gr Amax with Varget for long range and the 50gr Vmax with H335 for varmints. During initial load developement for my .223 T3 Varmint, I put 5 of the 50gr Vmax into a .220" group at 100yd and have used that same load for shooting clays at over 500yd.
Varmint bullets are typically lighter than you would use for hunting and expand explosively on impact.
If you are looking to hunt with that rifle, the 75gr Amax you are already shooting will do just fine out to about 300yd. Don't believe me? Try shooting a 4l water jug at 300yd... you'll see.
