Heavy Shot

Has anyone here handloaded any HEAVYSHOT? A friend of mine brought in 21 lounds of it in size #4. This stuff looks like garbage. There wasn't a round pellet in the bag. Some of the pellets were even up to 1/2in (1cm) long and sharp on each end. every pellet has a tit or small ball sticking out of it as well. Came from Ballistics Products in the states, overall the ugliest shot I've ever seen. Doesn't pattern worth a hoot either, although BP says it should be fine. HMMMMMMMMMMMM I guess they don't shoot at live flying targets. :shock: bearhunter

Hevi shot is made that way to keep it cheaper. Cut open a factory shell and you will find the same thing.

Use specific hevi shot load data for reloading. 1200-1300 fps is about the speed you want.
