I just bought myself a CZ 452 LH American. Wanted an "adult" bolt 22 for some time.

I have a Leupold VX2 6-18x40mm that was sent back to Korth for a target elevation knob and upgraded reticle. Due to the cost of tje scope and rifle I prefer not to drop cheap rings on it. I have used Burris Signature rings in the past with good luck and saw that they make rinfire rings as well. Problem is I cannot confirm what the heights are for the rings. The website says .90" for medium and 1.29" for high, but where is that dimension from (overall height, center height, measured from under tube to top of receiver)? I need at least 50mm from the top of the receiver to the underside of the scope for both the objective and for bolt clearance.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

For Burris rings the height specified is from the top of the mount (for your rifle the 11mm dovetail) to the centre of the ring.

Other ring manufacturers use the bottom of the ring as a height measurement, so it can be confusing.

Whats the max distance you plan to shoot?
I ask because ive got a 455 and shoot to 200y (approx 23.5 moa depending on ammo) at silverdale. I went with the signature zee rings medium, with the offset inserts and a varix iii 6.5-20. I can probably get out to about 275y with this setup.

If you use standard rings with no offset, you're limited on available elevation.

Ive got a set of medium burris signature rings that are the rimfire 1" rings part number 420554 i was going to use on my cz 452 varmint with a Bushnell banner 4x12x40 but the scope wouldnt clear. I ended up using a set of tall signature rings (not rimfire rings) on a DIP rail. So i think you would need the tall at minimum.

I do belief Rimfirecentral has a chart on their site for the hims'n'haws for rifle/scope/rings/mounts.
Might be werthy awf a gander?

Thanks for the help. I checked the charts from Rimfirecentral and it does look like it matches with what TrxRos saying. Thing is you look at the Burris sight and they should work at mediums.

If you like to shoot past about 200 yards, you will want to get plenty of tilt on the scope.

MDT makes a 20 MOA rail, but I found that's not enough to dial the scope for shots out that far. 40 MOA is more like it and maybe even more.

I've found the best choice is actually to use vertically adjustable scope rings. I have two different kinds on two different rifles.

This is the eagle Infinity I got from Airguns of Arizona, but Airgun Source in Ontario sells a brand as well called SPORTS MATCH

I like using these to basically create a zero stop for the scope, by setting the tilt just right for a 50 yard zero with about 5 MOA of travel left. That way I can dial to the bottom of travel and come up to zero, this way I never get lost in the changes. I also have something like 55 MOA of travel to dial out for longer shots.

So, to the ops point... These rings have some wiggle room as to how high you would like to set it to suit your personal ergonomics.

There is also a pic rail to dovetail adapter if you google around, so you wont need to add a pic rail to the 452 yet still use a pic rail version of the rings.

Those are something I have never seen, look neat, other than the silly rail on top.
When I was shooting a Sako P94 Finnfire I use Burris 30mm med rings and 22 dove tail to weaver adapters and gave me just enough room with a 6500 elite 50mm bell, zeroed at 100.
