Hello all! Happy to be here on this Canadian based forum!

To everyone here, Greetings from Accutron! haha
I was born in B.C.
Grew up in a few different, and with hindsight, rather diverse locations. Including UBC's campus in 'family residence' housing till about age 7-8. Then settled down locally on the west coast until 12 yrs old.
Spent 2 yrs in Sask. living with my much missed and loved Grand Parents. During that time I joined the local Army Cadets Corp. Actually an artillery battalion, yet luckily for me, it was where I found my passion for precision shooting.
Our armoury officer and weapons training expert, 'Master Gunnery Sgt.' (as we kids fondly called him!) Master Sgt. Orville Petey. As a vet from one of the few Canadian Regiments in Korea, he was a tough man but had a great character that garnered respect and fear simultaneously. I loved that time in which I was treated as a young, dedicated soldier, not just as a child.
Using 1 of the 2 very nice Anschutz .22's (personally provided and perfectly sighted in by Orville) , our rifle team was at the top in Sask. for 2 years! With most thanks going to Master Sgt. Petey for giving us such excellent training.
During my 20's till early 30's, I kept up some skills with a Glock 17, HK G3-A4 (sportsterized), and that 'Beast', the Luigi Franchi-Spas 12.
After the point those models needed replacements, I sold them and waited until the dust settled (politically and through what legislation finally evolved into and ultimately affecting our social landscape) until I re-entered the discipline with a new club membership and some new items that caught my attention.
Without being a rocket scientist, it's is easy to see some of the vast improvements in firearm technology AND the incredible knowledge base many of you have and are happy to share with interested and questioning people like me! A pre-emptive thanks is in order and I'm ready for the start of this chapter with healthy anticipation....
Sincerely,
Accutron.
