I'm Ben, I'm from Calgary. My interest in guns started before I could read, I vaguely remember my mom buying me a Gun Trader's Guide at a very young age, just because I wanted to look at all the pictures. It's still sitting in my closet somewhere.
As far as shooting experience, my dad bought me my first pellet gun when I was 11, and two more when I was 12. Some of my fondest shooting memories were in my back yard, laying in the grass and blowing holes in pop cans, hotwheels cars, toy soldiers, and the occasional mouse.
I went to TSE the first time when I was 13, and had a blast. I've gone there at least once a year since, and I always try to shoot several different guns every time I go. I can't list them all off the top of my head, but some of the highlights were a S&W Model 29, Ruger Redhawk, Wildey Magnum, Kimber 1911, Glock 22, Walther P99, Fabarm pump w/ 14" barrel, Fabarm semi auto, and a beautiful Marlin 1895 with a scout scope system that I haven't seen there since I was 16.
I also own an Excalibur crossbow if that counts for anything.
I do not have my PAL as of yet, but plan on writing the safety test very soon, and applying for it ASAP. I haven't tried any shooting sports other than blowing lots of holes in paper targets, but I'm sure there are plenty of exciting ones out there.
Cheers and nice to meet you all.
