Hi all, I am a new member here obviously. I am a weapons fan. I don't own any currently. I used to have some handguns, but those are no more (long... sad story).

Anyway, I hope to get firing again someday and need to work my way to that stage to re-gaining my license to purchase ect... I will have questions about how to possibly get back on the trail to ownership. It has been a really long time and back when I got my FAC it was, walk into the RCMP station with 10 dollars, fill out an application and in roughly 6 weeks you got your FAC in the mail and were free to purchase what you wanted. I understand that has changed...

Hello and welcome. It has indeed changed, but people seem to do it without too much stress. Good luck with it. Enjoy the site.

No worries, it's not too difficult as long as your are an average guy without too much history of violence. They frown upon that. Find your nearest Canada firearms safety course instructor ASAP and above all else be safe and have fun.

It's a great hobby/sport/lifestyle. I can't do an IPSC funshoot this weekend because of my broken right arm, but I'll go to the range later to pop off a couple boxes of .38 special just to get my fix :)

OK.. so it might be more than just a hobby for some of us. :)
