Hey all, first of all I'd like to say thanks for having me! I'm Aaron, 27 and spend my days working outside as an arborist. I'm new to guns, and I only got my PAL last year, no one in the fam was into em' and beyond videogames I had no interest.
..Well I got interested! Dad gave me his .22, started googling this and that and youtube videos,and next thing you know I'm becoming a gun nut myself haha.
Been trying to get out shooting at least once every couple weeks at a farm ive got access too, still havent decided on a local range sadly. So far I've started a small collection with a Rem597 .22, a Tula SKS (had a fun cosmoline cleaning party), and now a Moss 500 which I purchased as one of those 3 barrel combos new. Next steps are to do some more research and pick out an optic for my cantilever barrel for that mossberg, and maybe a decent caliber rifle setup with a good optic if I work my tail off this summer
My main interest with getting into guns (besides stick go bang) was just finding more ways to become self dependant and learning to live off the land. Seemed like a good call seeing the state of the world... plus me and the lady both love game meat and for the price of steak nowadays it might make up for the cost of all these guns I wanna buy
Biggest interest atm is building a deer setup, and maybe getting out there with a tag this season and getting some experience under my belt. In the meantime just going to be dialing in my target practice, if anyone has any advice on getting into whitetail or have a spot for a newbie in your camp to bug you with questions dm me haha.
Also I guess I'll throw this out there, if anyone wants to trade access to land for tree work in Southern Ontario hit me up!
