Hello everyody

Hi all,

My name is John, and I am new here. I am a brand new firearm owner, as well. Though I have been shooting since the age of nine, I recently purchased my very first rifle and now I cannot put it down.

I love to shoot and I love firearms and weaponry of all types. I work as an archaeologist, primarily in Pre-Historic stone age First Nations cultures, but the bulk of my schooling focused on 18th, 19th & 20th Century British, Common Wealth and French Militarty and Forensic (I wanted to be a Battlefield Archaeologist, but that's a field too hard to come by and break into).

I served my country for a few years as an infantryman in the CF, but decided I did not want to make a career of running through the woods digging holes in the ground. So, I got out, studied Archaeology where I spend my work hours running through the woods digging holes in the ground...Go figure. On the upside I get paid a lot more than I did as a Private and nobody calls my mother a whore, or if they do I get to hit them. Now, the only weapon I carry is my Marlin 1885 G, as I have had too many run-ins with bears. And since I bought the rifle, I have not seen a single bear.

Well, I look forward to conversing with all of you
Cheers
