Just wanted to say hey, and introduce myself. I am working on getting back into shooting after a 12 year deprivation period (gasp!). I have a few rifles,handguns,& shotguns, but after moving from N.S. to B.C., let my FAC expire, mistakenly thinking I didn't need any more. I know, I know - don't beat up on me too bad!
Anyway, I am living in Surrey now, and after I get the dust blown off my reloading gear, fumble around with the safe combo, and take stock, I plan on taking the course this Fall to get an acquisition permit, and also to join a club.
Thanks for getting me set up on EE, as a quick browse has reminded me I 've never seen a gun I wasn't interested in!! Someone here is sitting on my next toy!! - See Y'all Later

Don't wait for the fall write your Pal and Rpal do it now !! With your experience I would recommend you challenge the exams. Get the safety manuals in the legalese section read up and write ASAP.

I was in the same boat as you, really old FAC, let it expire, studied the manuals and challenged both exams, if I can do it you certainly can !!! ( I had no previous handgun exp )

Thanks for the welcome and encouragement. There is a wealth of information here, and I'm reading up as much as I can.
