Hi all
As you can see from my name I was born in hungary, I am in my late 20s, I am married and have a little one as well.
Both me and my wife have our restricted and non, went from owning no guns last year to 9 as of now.

Just found out about this site and loving every minute of it...the only bad thing is that this is very addictive.

Anyway thats a bit about me, and thanks for letting me be apart of this forum

Hungary is a nice place. Spent some time drilling around Hodmesovarsahely and hung out in Sveget for a bit too!

Everyone was so nice there, but I couldn't understand a damn thing lol

Someone told m, for the right price, you can shoot relics left from the USSR, but I didnt have time to find any. Maybe next time :D hehe

"...went from owning no guns last year to 9..." Hi. Shooting can do that. Gets worse if you start collecting milsurps. Mind you, selective collecting and not just the firearms can add to your retirement fund. The sad part is that milsurp accessories, bayonets, etc., aren't cheap these days.

I loved Hungary when I was there (many moons ago) in Budapest and Debrecen. This is a great site with lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks more than willing to share their experiences and know-how. Welcome.

Hello and welcome. My father came from a little village (which I understand no longer exists, named Bolaton-udvari, on the lake. His family came to the US when he was about twelve, and in time he became a "naturalized" US citizen. Due to one thing and another, I was born in Canada. His father was German and his mother Hungarian. I've never been there, and at my age probably will never get there. Too bad; I would have liked to have visited. My father was a mining engineer, travelled quite a bit, and spoke other languages, but always with a very strong Hungarian accent. At one point, in Colombia, he met with a Brazilian engineer. At the end of the conversation the Brazilian told my father, "For an American, you don't speak Portuguese too badly." My father, whose Spanish was fluent but strongly accented, told me that he thought that the Brazilian was just speaking poor Spanish. Many years ago, in the US, I owned one of the Hungarian Frommer "Stop" pistols. It has the distinction of being the most complex and unnecessarily over-engineered .32 ACP pistol ever designed. Enjoy the site.
