Hey, looking to learn more about why certain firearms are more beginner friendly. I've done my fair share of browsing and I've come across a lot of recommendations, but what is usually missing is an explanation of why a particular firearm is beginner friendly, and why it's important.

Hello and Welcome from NE Ont. ! P.S. As to your question , start small , think .22 in a bolt (get a good one). A lot of people go large 12 ga , 308 / 30/06 even 243 & 6 mm are asking for trouble in a newB . , your asking to develop a flinch which is really going to mess with accuracy . Don't forget good hearing protection . Grew up around guns not using ear protection & am now deaf as a stone ! Good luck on your journey ! CZ make a great .22 bolt !

I agree with the start small too. Maybe purchase a 10/22 the most common firearm on the planet to my understanding. Learn the safe handling of firearms and pretty cheap to fire. Go to your local range . They don't bite. Cheers

The 4 basic guns I always suggest are a 10-22,SKS,Remmy 870 and some version of .308.

All are easy to source,reliable and easy to get ammo for.

But start with the 10-22.....they are addictive.
