A quick into, I've grown up around the shooting sports since the late 70's. I grew up in Sask and started out shooting indoor archery (won a few medals too). Later started shooting IHMSA when it was a brand new sport. My family and Dad as my coach shot all over Sask / Alberta as well as the internationals in Coer d elene Idaho in the 80's.
Ive also been an avid big game hunter since I was about 15. I love the big magnum calibers (at 15 I was shooting my dads .378 Weatherby) but shooting deer at 500-600 yards on the prairies was becoming "routine" I have recently bought a Shiloh Sharps in .45-110 black powder cartridge with the vernier tang open sights to put a challenge back into hunting. I'd love to take an Elk with it.
I did 20 years in the military (Air Force) now working in the oil field and fly out of Calgary, AB
