Hello from Calgary

Hello everyone,
I am 15 and from Calgary. My parents aren't into guns (they just aren't that interested, they do support me) but if I want to own one I need one of them to have a license so I am saving for lessons for me and my dad. Right now I just have a Gamo pellet pistol. Anyways, I am very interested in guns but since I don't have one I most likely just browse around a bit on here.

Just to check out the competition oriented stuff, you might want to wander over to the Calgary Rifle and Pistol Club (or visit www.crpc.ca). They have a juniors program, club guns, great stuff. Also, the smallbore provincials are on this weekend at the Steve Johnson Range in NE calgary near Deerfoot Mall (visit albertarifle.com). Also, the Nationals are being held in Calgary this year, so lots of good people will be in attendance (& sometimes good deals on surplus equipment). Lots of fun ahead.

You'd be surprised at the number of younger people I know who have no idea guns are even legal . Quite scary really.

Another good forum site is Alberta Outdoorsman http://www.albertaoutdoorsmen.ca/ there are a lot of old guys out there more than happy to help, just ask, be sure before you spend any money though.
