Hey everyone. New member from Fergus. Just passed my non and restricted tests on the 11/12th of last month. Waiting for the paper work.

Would love to chat with anyone in the area regarding choices for first purchases, good groups to belong to and general shop talk. Probably be the new year before I get my licence given what I hear about the length of time it takes but gives me some time to do some research.

Looking forward to contributing and chatting with you all.

Cheers
Matthew

Hello! You will probably have your licence by mid november if you mail all the stuff right away and have all the information written correctly. As a starter, I would always recommend a .22 to get you started with proper handling and not to mention that .22 ammo is really cheap. Best of luck and welcome to CGN!

Welcome .......

I grew up on Garafraxa St, went to school at CWDHS and jumped the wall at the quarry.

I guess you failed to read the rules before you clicked "I Agree to the terms & conditions"...

It clearly states: If you are from Fergus, you must join the CSSA, NFA & send 5 pro gun letters to all LPC & NDP MP's before you become a full patch member & can get your CGN colours!!!

:wave::welcome::wave:

Hello all and glad to hear a bunch of ex Fergusians are into the sport.

I use the gorge all the time for hiking, running, skiing. Great spot.

Yep - Definitely a .22 for starters. Cheap to shoot, GREAT for training your target skills, and great for introducing new shooters.

After that, what're you interested in? There are lots of neat used and new guns out there. If you find something you're interested in, google it and search for it on this forum, you'll soon know absolutely every pro and con out there on it :p... and if that isn't enough, start a thread and you'll really hear all about it! :D
