Hi All,
Just thought i would pop in and say hi! i am an budding gun collector and Hunter, i am a big fan of the SKS Rifle i currently own 2 and this summer i am seriously thinking of upgrading to the Restricted PAL and join a gun club for some target shooting...look forward to being a part of the forums...:)

Hello there, I am from Enfield and recently bought an SKS with a buddy of mine and have found several people who have them locally. We joined the Musquodoboit gun club and have taken them there on several occasions. I stained mine black as below and here is a link to the club. If I remember I'll post up a get together for SKS's at the club when the weather warms up. We were thinking of a shoot off at 100yds.

They have several covered pistol ranges, clay targets, 50 &100yd rimfire, and 50, 100,200,300 and soon 400yd centerfire ranges.

I have been looking for a gun club to join, i was checking out The Annapolis Valley Shooting Club in New Minas but how do you find the Musquodoboit gun club? Here is a pic of one of my SKS's (sorry about my foot in the pic...lol).... my other one should be here Tuesday or Wednesday i ordered it from Marstar for $199.00 and they shipped it Friday.

The AVSSC is a good club to join. I have been a member for over three years there. The club has over 280 members and they are always helpful.

I have heard good things about them but i was only concerned it may be to far for driving from Halifax but on Saturday myself and my fiance drove down to Aylesford and it was only 40 minutes to New Minas so i am still seriously thinking about joining if they are taking new members this Spring...i went to their website and i was very impressed with the info there.
 
Congrats, i also have an SKS and would love to join you guys for a shoot. I've shot at alot of sporting clays shoots around NS and am joining a club this year...I'd sav AVSSC and/or Musquodobit.

Thanks guys, Nice to see i am not the only fan of the SKS....:) I would certainly be up for an SKS shoot. I made it my New Years Resolution to get my Restricted this year as i would love to collect and target shoot some of the old Peace Maker type western revolvers and the old civil war Army /Navy Revolvers.
