Good morning.

My name is Jim and I live in Kingston, Ontario.

After many years away from both archery and hunting, I have decide it is time to get back into the sport.

At one time I both gun hunted, I had an FAC and passed the old hunter safety course, and shot competitively with compound and traditional bows. Thankfully I kept my hunting licence up to date after I let my FAC expire and it was only a matter of studying the Safety Guide and challenging the PAL test. The road to and from Miramichi, NB must be a long and slow speed one!

My father and brother started this renewed interest in me by promising me a used BPS to encourage me to start hunting and skeet shooting with them, which I now happily have, and I may also look for Ruger 10/22 to target shoot and hunt small game with.

On the archery side I am also looking to join the Kingston Archery Club and have recently became friends with one of the executive of the club. My daughter is also interested in the sport after seeing Hunger Games and so this will be a daddy / daughter activity. My daughter was given a beginner recurve to start and I will be looking for a nice breakdown recurve bow to shoot. Any suggestions?

I look forward to reading and getting up to speed from my 15+ year absence from the sport.

Thanks guys,

Jim
