Hello from Kingston!

Hi there, ladies and gents! I just signed up and I figured I'd drop a line to say hello. :)

I'm from Kingston, Ontario, and it is my pleasure to say that coming up in late August myself and several friends will be taking our firearms safety course and applying for our PALs. I figured I'd get a head start and check out the community.

While all of us have some experience with firearms in the past, we are still all excited to own our own firearms for the first time: I myself am hoping to get a Rugger 10/22 (which I have a question or two about but this isn't the time or the place ;))

If there are any fellow firearms enthusiasts in the Kingston area, please feel free to drop me a line. The more info about the local shooting community my friends and I have before we actually get our first guns, the better.

Hope to see some of you on the range soon!

From the message here, I'm guessing you might be in the military. I am in the Comms. and Electronics Branch and I live in Kingston too, although I'm pretty new there. Got lots of my own firearms - it's a great, albeit expensive, hobby for me.

Are you attending the comm and electr school at CFB Kingston?

No, I was in the Princess of Wales Own Regiment for a couple of years but found military life, while a great learning experience, was not for me. Still glad I spent that time with them the PWOR is a great unit, and I learned a lot there. (Also, I have to admit training on the C6 was possibly the most fun I've ever had with my clothes on.)

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome, glad to know there are lots of other shooters in the area.
