I have been lurking here for a few weeks. Now it's time to introduce myself. I used to shoot 20 years ago but sold all my guns to fund a career change (big mistake) and let my FAC expire (bigger mistake). So now I am trying to start over and get back into shooting and hunting. Will be taking my courses in the fall. Oh yeah, I happen to be married to an anti, but since most of our neighbors either hunt or shoot in some form I am hoping she comes around.

Cheers

Hello and welcome. There are a lot of antis out there, and some of them are just more lovable than others. My wife always took a kind of neutral stance. She didn't like guns, but she liked being able to shoot a .22 rifle pretty well, and recognized my interest. Good luck with your effort. It shouldn't be much of a problem for you, and there are lots of folks here who'll be happy to help if you wish. Enjoy the site.

Welcome aboard .. from a neighbour. I do most of my grocery shopping in Winfield but live in North end of Kelowna. My wife was anti to start then she took both PAL and RPAL courses and now we are havin' a hoot. It's nice to have a range partner. We are thinking about joining the Oceola F&G Club (Winfield).

cheers

Thanks all! I will be looking to join both the Kelowna fish and game as well as the Oceola. Both together are only about $160 a year. Look forward to meeting a few other gunnutz out here.

Thanks!

I haven't narrowed it down to the exact guns. I used to shoot a Colt 1911, Ruger GP100 and Ruger Mk2. So far I've decided only on which calibers I should start with. .22, 9, .45, .357, .410g, 12g, .223, 308, 30-06 and thinking about a SKS. After that I'll see what stirs interest. By the time I have my pal/rpal I might even be able to afford half my list!

I've been in the valley a little over two years now and have to say it's the best move I've made yet.

Welcome to CGN. I live in Westbank, but I do some quading and shooting up in the dee/beaver lakes area and belong to kelowna fish and game and shoot IPSC. You should join..

We live in a nice place.
