Hello from Marmora & Toronto

Just found out about this forum from one of my wife's relatives at a lunch time gathering on Monday past. Sounds like my kind of place.

I work in Toronto (Tuesday through to Thursday) for a software company and live in Marmora rest of the week. I drive tractor trailer part time in TO as well, so 1/2 my collar is white and the other 1/2 is blue. :)

Been hunting and shooting for about 35 years, mostly hunting, not much opportunity for consistent range time. Am trying to find out about Madoc gun club, anyone here have some info?

Wife shot skeet for first time last fall and she seems to be hooked! Would like to find close-by range for rifles, with skeet and trap as well. Possibilities are Belleville through to Peterborough. Still seeking info during the winter months.

Cheers,

Dave

Hey Dave,

Welcome aboard, look up the Lower Trent fish and game club. Located in Frankford.

It has indoor and outdoor pistol as well as rifle and shotgun.

Thanks for the feedback

The new Mac's is definitely a place I hear about from people I meet and work with in Toronto.

Appreciate the note about the Frankford club, had forgotten about them being around. Have a good wild game cookbook they put out about 20 years ago.

Dave

welcome...
Marmora, On.....Sled dog capital if I remember right. ...been a while since I drove through there, and the last time I was asleep at the wheel. j/k

There is a little country-place gunstore in Foxboro north of Kingston. I have bought mail order and in person from them.

Most small town gun owners have a few friends where they can shoot on private land, and unless they want a specific shooting discipline, don't have much need for a formal range (did you hear that McGuinty?).

I think it'll be easier to find Foxboro if you look north of Belleville.:D You will find:puke: Quinte Outdoor, and Kelly's Guns...both actually before Foxboro.
