Hello from Nepean, Ontario

Hi,

Began the process in June by taking my CFSC for my pal and rpal which have been approved and just waiting for the plastic to arrive. Am interested in target shooting, goose, duck and deer hunting. Have a good friend who is mentoring me. Went clay shooting recently and had a great deal of fun.

Find this site and the forums very helpful and look forward to visiting frequently.

:)

Hello and welcome. In my old age I've become a collector and don't shoot at all any more. Enjoy the site.

Welcome Dave. I live in Nepean as well and I'm a member of the Grenville Fish and Game club near Prescott. You should check it out. Some of the nicest facilities around.

Hi
I was thinking of visiting that Club.
a) Do they have an indoor range?
b) Their application shows that one must be "introduced" by an existing member.
c) If one wanted to visit them for a looksee first, who would the best contact be? Email? or Phone? (It would have to be on "a" weekend.)

Cheers

P.S. Sorry Dave. Did not mean to hijack your thread (but someone lays a trail it's easier to follow it than just cut a new one.) And welcome to the Fraternity/Sorority/Community............

No problem. I don't consider taking part in the discussion hijacking. I will look up the Grenville club, thank you.

Hi,

To answer your questions:

a) Yes. They have a newly built indoor archery/pistol range. I'm not sure if it is open for pistol use yet, but will be very soon. They also have 2 25 yard ranges, a 100 yard range and a new 50 yard range as well plus skeet and trap fields.
b) The app does say that you need to be sponsored by a member but there are a lot of members here that could probably help you out with that.
c) Good question, if there is no one at the range all the gate and all buildings are locked so you want to make sure someone is there. The contact info for all the executives is on the website (www.grenvillefishandgameclub.com). Your best bet would be Lynn or Angel Holmes. Contact info is on the website. If you want to just drop by, Sunday mornings are a good time as there are usually a decent number of members there shooting skeet or trap. Myself included.

If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me.
