I just discovered this forum while looking for info on scopes.
I recently took the Canadian Firearms course and received my PAL in the mail a couple days ago.
I just ordered a Savage 12FV in .223 I should have it early next week. I'm still shopping for a scope for it.
I have been away from shooting and reloading for a few years now. I sold off most of my my reloading gear but kept a couple of my rifles, a Ruger 10/22 and an old Parker Hale 30-06.
When I was thirteen back in 1973 my Dad took me out and set up five one quart oil cans for targets at about 50 yards. He gave me a model 94 30-30 Winchester and told me if I could hit them he would get me my hunting license. I hit all five with the first five shots.
I don't plan on hunting any more I want to take up target shooting. I need some hobbies for the day I retire.
I will probably be back here more often with questions than answers.
