New member here from Ottawa.
Grew up around firearms all my life but never found the time to get my PAL. Now I can finally take possession of my late father and later grandfathers rifles and shotguns.
I have to say I am absolutely appalled by the reclassification of the Swiss Arms and CZ rifles by the RCMP. Unless there is significant pushback I believe these reclassifications will continue. This was a test. I will write a few letters before the end of the week to my MP and the PM voicing my displeasure.
I have joined the NFA and made a donation for both myself and a friend to whom I gave an NFA membership.
I'm looking forward to going to the range, shooting some targets and clays and going hunting for the first time this year.
