Hi everyone,
Excited to join this community and get into owning firearms.
I took the course at the end of March of this year and received my R/PAL officially after Canada day. When I applied, I checked online and my mail eagerly. After reading online that others have taken 6 months to over a year to receive their own, I got discouraged and just figured I would get it sometime next year or something.
I was really looking forward to owning the Sterling Arms R9 MK1 but by the time my PAL came in the mail, it was a couple days too late as it was classified as prohibited no the FRT
.
My main goals are to practice and somedy compete in an IPSC event. Hoping hanguns will make a come back and maybe try 3-gun out. For now I'll be keeping my eyes out and looking for something tacti-cool and non-restricted
(waiting for the classification of the AKDAS Alcor).
For now, I'll be shopping for ear/eye protection and a safe w trigger locks before I pull the gun on my first purchase... an SKS is definately a must.
Thank you CGNs for this awesome community and plethora of information.
