just retired this spring and decided to spend all my time at the range.
decided the 45/70 ...30/06 and 45/70 are no challange
so brought out the black powder stuff:D
brown bess, enfield front stuffer, a bunch of sniders and a martini henry,
now that is a challange,...just to get on paper. but i,m working on it.
just shot a 12 in group at 230 yards with the snider, things are looking up.
i also shoot old wheelguns, the older the better.
i also restore old motorcycles and fly my own aircraft.
never hunted, but do a lot of fishing,
did i mention i also reload all my own stuff?....life is good :p

Retirement is excellent, copilot.

I'm going into my fourth year of retirement. Now, I work twelve hours a week as a hobby. And, I have lots of time to learn reloading, a bit about hunting, and shooting.

This is a great site with the most knowledgeable and humourous people around. Enjoy it.

thanks for the welcome...this is my third stab at retirement, they keep beging me to come back...but this time they ticked me off.
however going back paid for a lot of interesting rifles and other gear, and definately a lot of hard to comeby brass...my grandson and great grandson will be grateful in future years.
I think i,ll go and hang out at the black powder forum now...see you there if thats your thing.

Greetings ........ :D

I am sure you will find this to be the best gun forum around.
Sounds like you have some interesting toys!
