Hi Everyone. I've been lurking on the board for a while now but finally decided to introduce myself. I'm fairly new to the shooting sports but both my grandfather and father were avid hunters and shooters so for me guns are a big part of my family's heritage (so much so that my grandpa and grandma met thanks to hunting). I just passed my PAL exam so I'm really eager to continue the tradition and be a good member of the shooting community. Thanks!

welcome aboard! hope you have lots of money, you will need it once you join the exchange forum and start buying

Welcome. There's tons of Toronto people here even though TO takes a lot of flak from the ROC for its anti-gun politicians.

1st order of business after you get your PAL is to join and support an organization that will advocate on behalf of all gun owners (not just a subset). It costs less than a single session's worth of ammo (unless you own only .22s) and it's the most important investment you will make.

CSSA, NFA, or preferably both since they have different strengths.

Enjoy.

Welcome kutter!

Great to have you.

BlaqueJacqueShallaque is right. You really "need" to join NFA & CSSA if you hope to enjoy shooting for years to come. You'll also get tonnes of info from them, insurance, support, and more.

See ya around!

I'd like to thank everyone for the warm welcome for the advice. Joining the CSSA and NFA is definitely something I will do, since the the shooting sports is something I see as a lifelong pursuit.
