Time to introduce myself.
I live in Woodbridge and just got my Tikka 7mm Rem Magnum.
The plan is to get a 1911 and (hopefully) a Glock 21, and eventually an AR-15.

If you guys know of a rage close to Hwy 400 and Major MacKenzie, please let me know.

As far as a range, that depends on if you want indoor or outdoor, handgun only or long guns also. I live near Hwy 9 and belong to the Barrie club. But there are other choices depending upon how far you want to drive.

Go south on the 400. Get off on Finch. Go East till you hit Jane St. It's open season there year round.

You will need an outdoor range for rifles bigger than .22lr. Target sports in Stouffville is indoor only. There is a shotgun range near #27 and #9, but I can't remember the name. A lot of people recommend Silverdale

Haha, everybody recommends Finch and Jane, I hear you need a bullet proof vest too

Silverdale is almost 2hrs from my house compared to Target Sports (around 35-40 min). Too bad though. I really wished I could go to Silverdale.

As far as what I want to do it's pretty simple (at least for the time being) - pistol target practice and mid range rifle shooting (400 yards).
I guess, if I sign up with TS I'll have to settle for pistol only.
