I was pretty heavy into this hobby back around 1991. Then I had ruger 10/22, defender shotgun, ak47 legal then but restricted, smith and wesson 22 target auto pistol and smith and wesson 357 magnum. I sold the pistols and ak47 when they made it restricted or mabye it was prohibited forget exactly which but wanted to at least be able to shoot it at local range.

I got a bit tired of indoor paper target shooting and was member of outside wildlife federation with its outdoor ranges but just sort of lost interest.

Now for some reason am reviving my old hobbies at the age of 50.
So rejoined local wildlife federation and current joined local handgun gun.

Picked up ruger hunter 22/45 model for first pistol and have ruger p354 PR on order currently. I bought a new stainless ruger 10/22 still have my old ruger 10/22. Yesterday got an Olympia Arms older m16 type rifle its restricted so will only be shooting it at the range.

Plan fairly soon to add a super redhawk 44 magum to my inventory and a 45 colt vaquero likely. A few more rifles and shotgun or two are also likely to be added. A 30/30, marine shotgun and mabye normal shotgun and possibly a bolt action 308.

I just added a red /green bushnell scope to my 22 ruger pistol.

Things seem to have changed a bit since 91. Now local gun store has ak47 variants that they said are non restricted but of course can only have like 4? shot clips. So can hunt or target shoot at range or farm with them. The AR 15 gun I just bought for some reason is resticted but the ak 47 variant is not? Strange laws there I think.

Anyway thats about it, my other hobbies are photography, modding up cars,
metal detecting,0 scale trains. Sort of related to the guns thing I also just got a new compound bow and may pick up a crossbow. I like archery as well as firearms. And like fishing too.

Thanks guys.I just found out I could have got an armalite 180b which is close to my AR 15 and non restricted and they are fairly cheap. Oh well wasn't super worried about using it off the range but guess if it bugs me will maybe get one next season and sell off my Olympia. I shot the Olympia today and it was great . Scope seems pretty dialed. Gun operated perfectly and was suprised how little recoil it has.

Looking at your list it seems like you are coming back to the sport in style. Welcome aboard, and grab that Redhawk ASAP!!!!

My ruger P345 showed up yesterday and hoping to take it to range tonite.
Feels good to have a big caliber gun this time around my 357 used to be fun with hotted up loads .This 45 should also be big fun. I ordered an m6 light/laser for it but now wondering if its going to make it across the border.

Also ordered a tapco t6 stock for my ruger 10/22 and another red /green dot scope for it.Hope they make it up. Didn't realize might have problems, figured only firearms might be problem to get but now see you can have some troubles.

Well my tapco ruger stock showed up today no problem from canada post.
Now crossing my fingers on the on my red/green dot and laser/flashlight unit.

My insight flashlight /laser showed up no problem its a very nice unit.
My red green dot was ordered from a big company so would think they have proper export permits or whatever is required. They are M and W think they are called?

I bought a red dot reflex for the 10/22 it looks cool. Ordered a hand grip with built in bipod for like 20 bucks off ebay from hong kong with another front grip for my ar 15. Figure no problems getting stuff from hong kong .Us is the only one with the problems not Canada customs it seems.
