Well, I've wanted one of these beauties for ages and it finally arrived today. Meet the Austrian made Glock 21 chambered in .45 ACP. This fine pistol joins my Sig Sauer P226R in 9mm to make up the family of top notch handguns. First two pics are of the new Glock with the slide closed and opened. The three other pictures are of the Glock and Sig together, notice the difference in the barrel diameter between both weapons, the Glock being the larger one.

I had my eye in a Desert Eagle in .44 Magnum but the 50 AE sounds more appealing...
 
It looks to be a 2nd Generation Glock...
1st generation smooth grip no finger grooves no rails
2nd generation textured grip no finger grooves no rails
3rd generation textured grip finger grooves accessory rails*

Myne is a gen 3...notice the finger groves...yours seems to be a gen 2...looks older in that respect.

Very nice pistolas gentelmen...I'm jealous.

If they don't work out for you I have a nice and spanky Sig P220 refurb for trade :D I have a feeling your not interested though..the G21 is a very nice platform

Welcome to the world of Glock...I love mine, and just marvel at the simplicity and reliability of these guns.

Yes, yours is a 2nd generation gun. These are my personal favorite variants, as I prefer them without finger grooves.

Enjoy it, and thanks for posting those excellent pictures! I never get tired of looking at good gun pictures.:)
