Welcome aboard Sakoshooter.:) I've been hunting moose in the Dryden area for the last 20 years with Bryan B who teaches the hunter safety courses up your way. The size and quantity of deer you have up there, sometimes I think you can get more meat hunting deer than moose. Do let us know your interests.

Welcome Sakoshooter you probably can relate alot to the hunting topics as you live in Dryden, I lived near you in Atikokan for a spell, beautiful spot, nice people, more like western Can. than Toronto(Latte Land)

Hey how's it going ben hunchak

You read me right i live where i do because of my life style, the hunting is second to non [ however i say that not being sucsessful yet this year] and yes the people in this area are great folk very much like the people i met everytime i've been out west. There's really not much i can compare to as you said [Latte Land} as i have spent a few years down in that area and all the more reason to stay put where i am. You say you lived in the Atikokan area!!! Not to far from home at all for myself, I frequent that area quite often myself going to camp on Perch Lake.

JohnC Pleasure to here from you!!

You say you've been hunting with Bryan B for a few years, great guy you have as a hunting partner. I've known the family for 15 + years myself as my older sis went to school with his daughter's. For myself Bryan looked after thing's excellent when he was sec. for the club in town here. I've just recently got into the handgun scene in the last coupple of years and Bryan helped out with all the paper work involved. You talk about the deer here, I don't what to say anymore they just keep getting bigger and bigger!!! The quantity is definetly getting out of hand. I live in town only 8-9 blocks
away from Bryan and i can't keep the deer from coming to eat off the apple tree in my front yard. Nice to look at and for the kids to watch out the front window but their goddam distructive. Anyhow, how did you and the B man make out with the moose situation this year??? I myself haven't been sucsessful yet but the season is still young. If the weather would start to co-op , it might get the animals moving a little more. But so far we really haven't had opurtune weather conditions yet! so long for now bud !!

SakoShooter:

We got a calf opening week just before the snowstorm hit. Bryan got the bull tag for the group so he's been going out most days - nice to be retired and have the time, as he always reminds me. The other guys in the group are Spencer K (shoots PPC) and Bob W (retired CO). Bryan tells me the weather's been basically ####ty for hunting altho he's managed to get a couple of does. The extra tags you can buy in WMU 8 are great!

I do love Dryden and the people up there. Working in Ottawa right now but I'd be up in Dryden like a flash should my commitments disappear or I can talk my wife in retiring up there...-working on it...
