I'm new the the firearms world. I've had my PAL for quite a while now but only recently put it to good use and purchased a WW2 rifle. I work with my uncle who is an avid gun collector and we talk every day during our morning coffee break. He has helped guide me along and explained how and where the types of firearms were developed. He is a strong Enfield enthusiast, which I am really not but he will spend the time explaining to me the components and ammunition for the particular rifles that I enjoy.
I'm really only interested in collecting WW2 rifles and not so much modern types. To be honest, I will probably never even shoot most of my collector pieces. I know most collectors would say that's crazy but I would just enjoy owning a snap shot of history in my home.
It is my hope that I will be able to absorb and use the knowledge laid before me in this forum and maybe at some point I'll be able to pass it on.
