Hello! Woman Trap Shooter on Vancouver Island

Hello, everyone :)
I've had my PAL for a few years, I shoot trap and I love it. I have held off on buying anything for myself as I've been grateful to try other shooter's shotguns to see what the "perfect" fit for me would be. What makes this tricky is I'm left-handed, so there's been a few which have been uncomfortable for me.. too "heavy", doesn't fit properly, craning my head over to match up the sights lol, etc.
I do believe I've had good luck with a Remington 11-48 (?) semi-auto (great for shooting doubles) a Miroku, and recently I tried the Browning Superposed, which was surprisingly comfy (with shooting singles). I also believe these have been neutral casts, which have been a lifesaver!

I know the entry-level is a BT99, but also looking for other suggestions on what to buy that won't break the bank lol

Welcome lillywhite13👋

Perhaps take a look at the Beretta line of shotguns, they have many models with varying price points.

Have Fun!

You are lucky to be able to try again few different guns to see what you like and what fits. The BT-99 is an awesome gun but if doubles are your game then your out of luck, unless you can reload really and I'm mean really quick 😉.
A semi is a good choice and I believe they make them for the lefty with new models having shims for adjustable buttstocks.

But if you get into shooting ATA I've heard some ranges don't allow semi autos and if you shoot singles invest in a shell catcher. The shooter beside you will thank you for not hitting them with your hulls.

Now this is a matter of opinion but what about a higher end Turkish over/under? I have a Catma don't have a ton of rounds though it yet but no problemsso far, and I know two other shooters one has a Hulgu and the other a Canuck. They come with adjustable buttstocks and some with 2 barrel sets.

keep us updated always interested in what people choose and why

I've been hitting shooters beside me with that semi-auto and I apologize every time lol. They've been very good with putting up with it - maybe because they know I shoot well with it.... I shoot with a great group of people lol.
Great suggestions - I'll take a look into a Catma, Hulga, and a Canuck. Thank you!
