Hi there everyone. I'm not much of a public speaker so don't expect too much from my first post on any website ever! I guess I will just start with the basics. I am 26 years old and I am from Alberta. I live around Red Deer and I'm currently stuck working in the wonderful town of Fort Mcmurray. As you have probably already assumed I work in the Oil and Gas sector! haha I was introduced to this site by a relative of mine who was kind enough to sign my PAL and RPAL applications! Im not much of an internet guy but I am thoroughly hooked on this site!! Wow! I am learning so much just from reading everyone's posts! I must admit I have never really owned any guns but I am looking forward to buying as many as I can shove into my basement now! haha I am also learning a lot about how our government works and unfortunately I am not impressed! At first I was ready to blow my top when I started learning but reading some posts from people who have been dealing with this since before I was born has opened my mind and I am now looking into ways I can help out the cause of every law-abiding resident of our fine country! I can't lie I still get a little hot when I remember I am not "Allowed" to own a full auto AR with 30 round mags, or the fact that some stranger who has no idea who I am has to give me approval to even transport a firearm from my house to a range. But enough on that topic! haha I look forward to owning many many many guns In the future and getting out and meeting all of you fine people at ranges around Alberta! I am also looking forward to learning everything I can about the safe and responsible use of firearms, and the very intriguing sport of target shooting! Welcome to our forum ,and you can get lots of guns and encouragement right here. Most of us have rooms full of guns and can trade and sell you anything you might want.Aslo check out the sponsors on top of the page.This site tends to be hard on the wallet so an extra part time job might come in handy.
 
Haha I can already see this is going to be an expensive hobby! I think I have about 5 guns I want to buy when my license comes in the mail! Haha And I haven't even made it to a gun shop yet!!!!
 
Do you feel dirty now after your first post;) I know I did, your just lucky westicals hasn't got a hold of you yet. I am in Calgary, so if you want to go shoot drop me a line. I also work for the best airline that flys to the mac(rhymes with westjet), one of the only places I havn't been to, so maybe Ill bring my guns there for the day..!!
 
If I ever make it out of this town for some days off I might have to take you up on the shooting offer! haha Apparently there is a very nice range up here so if you ever end up heading this way give me some notice and maybe I can get some free time! Kinda wondering about who "westicles" is now!?
