Hey all,
I've been lurking around long enough now to finally make an introduction and become a contributing member on this amazing forum. My name is Lukas, I'm 18 years old and going to University for Marine and Freshwater Bio. although the way its looking right now I'll go into LE when I've got my degree because its something I've always wanted to do. In the meantime I'll enjoy my college years as they only come around once :D.
I LOVE guns :50cal:, when I was five I started building toy guns based on pictures from the newspaper and the obsession didn't stop there. When I was 12 my Dad introduced me power tools (upon my request) and I started building prop weapons for fun (I got real good at it too). Now I make knives as theire actually good for something :).
I love martial arts and train MMA on a regular basis, and I'm an avid SCUBA diver (Canadian cold water divers rock!)
Well anyhow, I'm finally done with my finals and am planning on challenging the CFSC Non-restr. and Restricted exams within the next week or two. Once my PAL and R-PAL applications are in, its time to think of a first gun to buy :D:D:D but thats material for another thread.
Thanks for taking the time to read this if you made it this far, looking forward to some good shooting :50cal:

EDIT: By the way, I'm located in the Guelph/GTA most of the time

Decided to post this here as well as it'll probably get looked at more:

Hey there, I'm a newbie on a three week christmas break (between semesters). I'm planning on doing the CFSC non-restricted and restricted exams this winter and am looking for someone who could introduce me to the world of guns (as I've only ever shot a bolt action rifle). I'm 18 years old, very enthusiastic, and not voting liberal :). I wouldn't have any problem paying for ammo, and am most interested in shooting either a 1911, Glock, Sig, HK (the p7m8 is my dream, but chances of ever getting to try one before I buy one are slim), or a CZ, but hell, I'd be happy with anything that goes boom :D

I'm located right in the heart of Toronto by the way

Welcome, Lukas. You'll probably get into general gunning with the same thoughtfulness you seem to have done everything else. The P7 is quite a wonderful pistol, if a bit different. But it's also probably the most expensive pistol out there, not counting Korths and some collectible exotica. Wait until you've got a regular income. But any way you choose, enjoy it.
