New here and decided to take time from going through all the pictures and all the info about the p226 and start a introduction. I just got my first gun the sig sauer p226 recently and aside from realizing aiming is harder than i thought im loving this. I just have a problem having money after i go and buy bullets haha

my only dillema was that there wasnt a manual with the gun and I dont know how to figure out what year it was, any ideas?

SiG date codes are stamped 2 letter codes. If available they would be located on the underside of the slide at the muzzle end next to the proof marks. The letters decode as follows:

A = 0
B = 1
C = 2
D = 3
E = 4
F = 5
G = 6
H = 7
J = 8
K = 9

(i.e. KJ = 1998)

If yours does not have it stamped as shown, SiG customer service can tell you over the phone by doing a serial number/batch search of their data archive.
