Hi everyone, newbie here, thought I'd make my first post and introduce myself. Still waiting to take my PAL in June(maybe restricted as well), so I've been reading up on lots of different forums trying to decide what rifle to buy first. So far I'm thinking I'll start with a Russian un-issued SKS, love the look of them, they seem bombproof and reliable and of course ammuniton seems damned cheap too : ) Ultimately I think I'll want at least 5 rifles(after 5, I'm sure 10 will seem like a reasonable number, though my wife may have something to say about that). Anyway glad to have found a great Canadian forum.

Hello and welcome. It looks like you've got the bug pretty bad, already. If you contact one of the Moderators and get admitted to the Equipment Exchange forum, you can probably find any rifle you want. For several years my wife and I lived in Idaho. I used a Chinese SKS as a coyote gun and found it just excellent. Terrific value, accurate, reliable and easy to hit with. Enjoy the site.
