I'm new to this forum, and would like to introduce myself.
I have been on an american forum (surplus rifle.com) wich is realy good but not Canadian, so some things I want to know they can't help with.

I was refered here by a fellow that I met at the military vehical show in Oshawa last spring. I tryed to register then but was unable to, so I tryed again last week and here I am.

I fell in love with Lee-Enfields during the second of my now four deer hunts.

Currently I have 2 Enfields, One is a 1943 Savage No4Mk1* that has been sporterized (though nicley) and has been drilled and tapped for a scope.

Last fall I purchased a 1954 Falkerzly No4Mk2 that is all original, numbers matching (reciever, bolt, stock, magazine, bayonet, and bayo sheath.) I realy enjoy shooting them both.

Here is a pic of my Mk2

I hope to learn alot from you knowledgeable gentlemen, and perhaps put out my 2cents now and then.

Thanks, Lee-lad.

lol no basment shooting yet (you know how parents are about noise. lol)

Actually those are 1949 winchester 174gr comercial loads.
I was able to pick up the box (only one the fellow had) for $6.00 (as opposed to new winchester at like $25 a box.)
I put them through my then "Brand new" toy at the range just to make sure the rifle worked ...Was the best 10 minnuts of Hi Decipal entertainment I've had yet!:D

Heres a pic of the target I shot with them. 10 rds @50yds shooting out of a chair.

I purchased the rifle just before the 2nd deer season and brought it along. The guys in camp swear by scopes so were a bitt sceptical as to my hunting with it over my Savage with the 3-9x.
I sighted it in with 5 shots. Then I put 10 rds in the rifle and emptied it at a fresh target. I walked up and saw the above target.
Then I took it down, calmly went into the house where they were having a coffe, laid the target on the table and said "so... can I use it?"
I had a wonderfull few days in the bush with my new rifle but sadly didnt get any deer.:)
