Looking at getting an SKS.

Is this a good deal?

I think its a good deal if thats what you want. I prefer the SKS in its original stock. The blued finish is the more desirable one over the black painted versions.

Not really. Think they're $250 or so at cabelas with wood stock. Unless you really want that type of stock.

I bought a used one in great shape for $250 at my local range. Just keep looking or try a few shops if there local. My local shops don't post used surplus rifles for sale on the web.

I’ve seen used aftermarket stocks for cheap on the EE. Maybe buy a wood stocked one, and decide which you prefer.

It is certainly a fair deal for an SKS with that stock already on it.

Not a rip-off by any means.

Well, those are out of stock at reliable gun.
I'd Look at the chineses ones that marstar has for 240. Get a stock extender 1" or 2" and call it good.
