HELP! Being held captive by Why Not?...Again

AL5e3U2.jpeg

I'm sure this view isn't as awe inspiring to the locals as it is to a couple of fellas from NWO...but wow!

Ted played the part of the ultimate guide yesterday and after hooking a fish, handed the rod to me and said, "I need you to reel this in, the wind is too strong and we'll end up blown to the other side of the lake if I fight this fish" I knew the game, but I still enjoyed playing it anyway ;)

Hey, I have more Pros than that! I’ve paddled you to a lot of ducks for starters.
But I probably have a lot more Cons too.

Still, that better be a pretty nice #1 or Superposed if I’m getting shipped out for it.

Well it was real nice meeting you and your dad today!! I’m happy I was back in town in time!

It was great to meet you as well! A little bummed that you had sold your 7x57 #1 RSI before I could trade my Dad for it though...I was willing to add cash even

As always, it was nice to see Phil again as well!

Cory
great to see you again. and meeting your dad as well.

short but great time and enjoy the yukon time. weather wont be as bad for the next few days and not that hot. some fishing time left.

Rhubarb pie without vanilla ice-cream that is not only beyond Hope it should down rite be illegal.
Rob

I've not made a Rhubarb pie in a while. I use my Grandma's old recipe for cake, and my own concoction for Keto Krumble.... if no ice cream, then at least vanilla sugar/sweeteneer!

Don't pay attention to everything he says. He was offered ice cream!

He was also lectured on only turning the reamer half a turn at a time when finishing up the chamber. Now he's complaining about making a left hand turn.

Ted

Here’s the proof!

Not only that, although I don’t have pictures to prove it, he insisted on having a second piece of Saskatoon pie!

I also had the privilege to meet Cory the Cowboy, and Dad (for sale or trade). Cory posted a "wanted 9.3x62 M98 barrel". I happen to have one for a project that probably wasn't going to happen. Called Ted. Was passing close to Ted's place, stopped in, and guess what- everyone was hovering over sliced pie waiting for the icecream to arrive from downtown. After introductions were made it was determined that a short 25 mile road trip to my place for a look at the barrel was in order. 3 amigos made the journey out. Looked at other interesting guns, and had to leave as a 5:00 a.m. start for Cory, and Dad was soon approaching . Yes Cory has a new barrel for his indoctrination into the 9.3 world- no doubt perpetuated and instigated by Ted with pie and icecream.

There's enough true bad facts about me without rumors of me turning down ice cream on pie...that's slander.

Ted's wife, Marg, is a very kind, generous and observant woman. After only 4 short days, she realized I was too indecisive to make a choice, so gave me a slice of both rhubarb and Saskatoon berry pie

For the first time in this thread, I'm going to be completely serious. Both Ted and Marg are two of the kindest people I've ever had the opportunity to meet. It was a true pleasure to be able to spend with them again, and I really hope that it won't be 9 years before visits again.

I was going to offer him for that Model 70 in Super 30, but didn't have enough cash to add to make it fair

Amen to this....

A true Canadian. You told a guy you’d do something for him and when it appeared as though you were getting the short end of the stick, ya did it anyways. Be proud of yourself not for your financial genius as it clearly appears you inherited your money “savvy” from your dad. But be proud of yourself for your honesty, integrity and hard bloody work. You sir are what true Canadians are and should be. This is not a setback, it’s a learning experience. I’ve learned by reading your story there are still men like you and your dad in this country and this gives me hope. Salt of the earth is what you and your dad are.

All is well. The White Whale 22 foot canoe that Cory delivered now has a new high transom installed.

DGY fiberglassed it yesterday. I forgot to take pictures. Was busy learning a lot while helping him do it.

Trimmed up the keel as well.

A brand new Yamaha 25 hp long shaft four stroke will be hung on it in a few days. Five thousand pounds carrying capacity with the high transom.

One again, top shelf Cory.
