I have two Browning Abolts; one in 270WSM and one in 300WSM. I was cleaning them and I might have mixed up the bolts. The 270 is unfired but the 300 only has about 40 rounds through it so I can't really tell what one is for what gun. I'm fairly certain I have the bolts in the right guns...but what will happen if I'm wrong?

Chamber a piece of brass in each rifle and make sure the bolts close, remove the brass and add a piece of scotch tape to the base and make sure it WON'T close on the round

Aside from that check the fireing pin holes very closely for brass remnants...

Best of luck.
