Help changing gel comb in buttstock of benelli super Vinci

Does anybody have any advice on how to change the gel comb in the buttstock of a benelli super Vinci?

I have searched online everywhere and the only thing I can find are other posts in shot gun forums saying to pinch the front, pull back and up. I can't find any videos or tricks.

I can't get it back far enough to clear the grove on it to pull it up. I have had several friends try with no luck either.

Short answer is yes.
its easier if you remove the butpad and use your thumb to push on the black plastic piece of the gelcomb that keeps its hooked onto the stock. at the same time, use the ther hand to pull onto the gelcomb towrds the action of the gun.
you have to use a bit of strenght in the process but it will eventually pop out .
