I am almost positive I am getting a Mossberg 590A1.

It has a fixed cylinder choke. How can I install a set of choke tubes on it?

I was thinking of going with mossbergs choke tubes. Should I?

YOU most likely can't install choke tubes - a smith will need to do it with the proper tools.

Peter Reidel (rustywood.ca) does a nice job for a reasonable price. One week lead time!

Ok, I thought that would be the case.

Whats a good smith near or in Winnipeg?
And are the mossberg tubes any good?

It's DEFINATELY worth it if you want to use the gun for anything other than just blasting targets.

I believe the Mossberg chokes are the same as Browning Invector chokes... best bet is to contact a smith for what's best for that gun. It also depends if you have other guns with certain types of chokes. I recently had my 14" Norinco barrel threaded for RemChokes, since I have two other Rem shotguns and don't need extra sets of chokes.

It will all depend on what equipment the smith has, apparently buying the gear for each companies choke tubes is quite an investment.

If you have a mossy, I say stick with mossy choke tubes, but go for whatever your smith can do for you.
