Help choose an AR

My cousin in the States requested my help in deciding which rifle he will purchase. At the moment there isn't much to choose from. Here is his list.

Bushmaster
Colt AR-15
S & W M&P15
DPMS
Next Generation Arms

Unfortunately he hasn't provided me with any specific models or options that his local dealers have in stock.

My only experience with these was the Colts and I do have an affinity for them!

Chime in.
Where's the best rifle? Best value? He was very specific that he doesn't want a "CheapO" rifle.
 
If the Colt is within his budget, then it would be my recommendation out of the few listed. I've had several different brands pass through my hands and bar none, the Colts have been the most consistent when it came to fit and finish... Not knocking the rest, but that's just what I've seen first hand.

I googled Next Gen. Arms.
Not bad... I would go for one of those before a colt

JP trigger.....hmmmmmm I would rather have LMT or KAC. This ceramic coated bore thing sounds suspicious. -

Fist time I'm hearing about ceramic coated bore.

I would recommend your friend check out the Noveske N4 line.

Triggers - LMT if high round training carbine - Geissele if accuracy is a main concern.
