Hi Everyone,

I have been into long range rifles and pistols for a while and figured it is time to move up to a sporting rifle. I am on the waiting list for the T97 but after a little research they are not recommended due to the proximity of the ejector port to the face. Just wondering what would everyone recommend for under $1500???

Lastly is there anything else negative about the T97? I would not feel to worried about an American or German made firearm being that close to face but not a mass produced Chinese one?

Thanks T

Seems unlikely that you'll find any assault rifles for sale. If you decide to get a modern sporting rifle check out Stag throguh Arms East, banner up top. Good quality ARs, models under $1500, great support from the dealer.
Whats the intended purpose of your new rifle? You can find an AR to do just about anything, from a pseudo pistol to long range precision.

Since I have a lot of long range rifles this would be close range to fill them void between the rifle and pistol.

Thanks T

Although I can't comment on the T97,

I recently bought an barely used Armalite M15 for $1000 and it has been a rock solid rifle! Fit and finish and quality are pretty impressive compared to others I've owned, few hundred rounds through it and not a single malfunction

I don't think armalite gets enough credit

tough market. i recently bought a CORE 15 and its been mint so far. 1000 rds this month alone and not a single issue or jam with cheap MFS and Winchester whitebox ammo. i got mine for under 1200 taxes in. i also ran it hard a few days ago ( 300 rounds in a couple hours and another 160 the day after that in 45 mins). no issues
