Hey - CGN

I was cleaning my bretta 92 when this little paper clip looking thing popped out. I dont know where it came from so I'm hoping someone here can help me out and tell me where to put it back.

...and thank the heavens Mr. Trudeau is stepping down.

Thanks!

forgot to add. That spring comes loose when brushing the inside of the magwell on the right side. avoid brushes in there, wipe it and pay attention that you have repeatative trigger pull capability afterwards.

Most firearms are very simple mechanical devices. Every owner should take them apart completely (or nearly) and understand how the parts interact with one another. This experience will also provide owners with the confidence to perform most, if not all, of their own repairs.

I've never understood how almost anything mechanical seems difficult for some people. Maybe I'm not being fair because I'm mechanically inclined??? Although, I don't feel "special", lol, it just feels super easy. Maybe people are scared of !@#$%ing up? Remember, anything you !@#$% up can be fixed and what you learned will last a lifetime (or until Alzheimer's kicks in).

You're not like most people. ;)

I'm with you, I enjoy it, and I'm happy to learn from my mistakes. But it's intimidating if you're new to it. And it can be expensive if you don't have the time or will to do a deep(ish) dive into your firearm. But honestly, some people just aren't mechanically inclined.

Not uncommon. I recommend the same advice my dad gave me when working on an unfamiliar vehicle. "Take a picture first". Google has made that less relevant but it can help.
