Help Colt Canada IRU rifle

hello , hoping someone would be able to help me as i cant seem to find the information online. i have a cold canada IUR rifle and i am looking to tear it down and transfer the parts onto an Maple ridge Armory receiver kit(bolt action receiver kit).

my quesiton is about the barrel... i found a tool to remove it but i am wondering if the barrel is proprietary to the IUR. i would like to obviously use the barrel on the MRA receiver kit.

any advice or information would be apricated.

No it's a standard ar15 bbl
All u need is the nut tool and may need alot of heat to get it off

The harder part will be getting the taper pins out first
You will need a breaker bar to use with the iur barrel socket

I would probably just buy new components and let my IUR die whole.

What taper pins? Remove muzzle device, one or two screws for the gas block, crack the barrel nut off.

As you didn’t specify what model I assumed it was the Danish IUR
I am assuming you have one of the 2 SAS models
