OK guys, I'm on a tight schedule....please help me find what I'm looking for:

Action: bolt
Cartridge: 375 H&H or Ultra, .378 WBY, or .416
Barrel: 18- 20" or so
Stock: Synthetic, light as possible
LOP: Ideally? about 10"
Recoil Pad: Prefer none, but would take a Military mauser style steel plate
Optics: Old steel tube Weaver K2.5, ultra fine X hairs, 2.5-3" eye relief in Xtra high mounts (bonus points for see-throughs)

Would like to see the rifle (with glass) come in around 6 lbs, less is way better.

Additional requirements: While cost is not an issue, I need it by next weekend, could use a few hot handloads, oh yeah...and it needs to be pretty looking...it's a gift for my Mother-in-law :D

I will sell you my Ruger Alaskan, with VXII 1-4x20, with 50 loaded up shells. 260 grain Accubond over H4350 in new Hornady never fired brass, 2712 fps, 4800 ft/lb energy. A custom price for a custom demand. $ 2500 shipped. Purolator can have it to you by the weekend.

Hey Curt....how much to cut about 4-5" off the stock, and get rid of the VXII with the rubber eye ring and replace it with an old steel tube scope?..you know, something she has to get reeeeaaaalllly close to to get a full sight picture.

How much do you like this mother in law of yours. The cut on my forehead tells me that the VXII is metal, no rubber there. The Hogue stock may or may not be 'cut-able', but if you remove the thick rubber recoil pad, you may be able to retro-fit a steel butt plate on there and reduce the LOP by an inch......

I have a feeling your getting a visitor, aren't you. I suggest just spending the weekend in the bar. Cheaper than a custom, and belive me if you get your rifle it will hurt you more...You'll be looking down the barrel!

Nice try though. :D

A 10" LOP, 2.5 inch eye relief, sub 6 lb, 18 inch barrel in a .416? Gift for your mother in law, huh? I take it you don't like the woman very much.
