HELP! CZ Tex-model 3 trivia required

Hey gang...I love learning, here on CGN but, haven't spent a lot of time in the airguns area...

I have an old(er) pellet pistol called a tex-model 3. Made in CZ....My father bought it about 25 years ago but, it's not seen much use.

I'm hoping to find:
i) Information on this one
ii) Help on it's repair...
-When the barrel/action is "broken" it will #### but, fires/releases as soon as the barrel is closed again...not very useful as-is...My Father can't recall if it ever worked/functioned properly.

It may be one of those "not cost effective to repair" kind of projects I find myself in. Just a shame to have it and, bot use it or, miss a good learning opportunity.

Can provide pictures...this thing looks brand new and, actually has what appears to be cosmoline on some of it's parts.

One neat feature...it has an adjustable trigger and, the screwdriver is actually "stored" in the rear of the action.

the adjustable trigger could be your problem.It could be set "too light".Either that or the sear is worn.

I took it aprt yesterday...still had cosmo on it. I did try the trigger through it's range of adjustment and, no luck. Will look closely at where sear engages the piston.

Herter's used to import them way back. Try J+G Airguns or Chambers Gun Spares for parts.........Harold

I bought mine about 8 years ago and it works very well. Try a good cleaning, look at
the sear to see if engaging surfaces are flat and corners are sharp. Try increasing triger
weight to improve sear engagement (you will gradually lower it later once every thing
work well)

The guys over at airgunforum.ca may be a real good source of info. One or two occasionally visit here and share good info. Sorry I cant help.
